Romans to Battle Celts in Brisbane

Glen Innis Examiner: Organizers of the Celtic Festival in Brisbane, Australia are looking for a few strapping young men to defend their homes from invading Romans. The Ninth Roman Legion Gladiators will be attending Brisbane's annual Celtic Festival this year and organizers would like to recruit an army of enthusiastic young Celts to meet them on the battlefield. Volunteers are needed to take part in the reenactment and to assist in the ceremonies. Costumes and weapons will be provided, but those interested need to have an interest in historical accuracy.

"The festival is a community event and we hope that members of the community will join in the spirit of the event and sign-on to give their time behind the scenes to make it a great festival," said Howard Eastwood, Chairman of the Festival.
