We invite everyone to our annual Court of Love given in honor of M'lady Alaine ni Deorin and her champion, our Lord Protector, Lord Drell McIan Blackwood.
The theme this year is Scottish Highlands, and fighting for the day will consist of an exciting Romantic Quest: Lord Drell McIan Blackwood, our Lord Protector, explains that the object of this event is to reach the Lady of Love and Beauty through feats of strength and skill. Feats are consistent with Highland Games; if the fighter fails at the feat, they must fight the one or two fighters at that station. The 5th Annual Tournament of the Heart, as well as a boffer tournament for the kids will be held.
The Court itself will be lots of fun and we'll have our annual AUCTION (Donations cheerfully accepted!).
The contests: Best Poem/Ode/Song in the Scots Highland tradition; Best Scots garb (* Men, at the request of the M'lady Alaine, PLEASE do Not dress "regimental"); Best Chocolate Dessert (no coconut, please) and a HAGGIS contest. This can be traditional or a variation; the recipe ( w/o your name) must be provided; documentation not required. The haggis will be judged by the populace, on the dayboard. Call Jena for tickets (or questions).
