14 pieces of gold and bronze jewelry and other artifacts dating back 3000
years were discovered recently by metal detectors in Wrexham, Wales.
Amateurs with metal detectors again struck gold near Wrexham, Wales when they
discovered a hoard of 14 Bronze Age objects, thought to have been a gift to
the gods from a wealthy farming family. The treasure includes a twisted wire
bracelet, a necklace pendant, a torc and various beads, all of gold, as well
as some bronze pieces. They also found axes and chisels. The artifacts were
unique to Britain.
The items are now being held in Cardiff, where it will be determined if they are treasure. |
