A bit of history for pop music lovers: Beowulf

What do you get when you mashup an eighth-century Anglo-Saxon poem with a twentieth-century antiwar pop song? A very amusing music video, sort of a "Cliff's Notes" version of the epic tale.

Set to the tune of Nena's "99 Luftballons" (or "99 Red Balloons" in English), a pop song from the 1980s, this faithful parody was done by "historyteacher", the same person who brought us musical lessons about topics ranging from Empress Theodora to the Spanish Inquisition.
