Space science technology to be used in Renaissance restoration

Two important Tudor tombs will benefit from technology developed for space science research in a new project led by experts from the University of Leicester.

The tombs of Thomas Howard, third Duke of Norfolk (d. 1554) and of Henry Fitzroy (d. 1539), Duke of Richmond, disassembled and moved in the 16th century, will be restored with the help of three-dimensional scanning and non-destructive materials analysis.
