Baron Robert Aonghus of Loch Mohr and Baroness Theresa von Elp invite you to join them on December 18, 2010 at the Apostles Lutheran Church for a celebration of Solstice. They also encourage you to bring a toy for Toys for Tots, new in package and no stuffed animals.
The site opens at 2 pm, court will be around 3ish with the subtlety contest being held at the court recess. Subtleties may be either sweet or savory in keeping with the period. Prizes will be awarded for the best looking and best tasting. The feast will be family style with everything but the dessert being served at the same time. Dessert will be served at the end of the ornament and pirate gift exchanges with the final court being held then. There will be a feast of chicken, ham, vegetables, bread and gingerbread (medieval). Please contact Lady Christmas Albanach if you have questions about the feast. Please contact Lady Nastas'ia for reservations for the feast. Note: you do not have to participate in the feast if you do not wish, please come anyway.
Pirate gift exchange-bring a gift wrapped of a suggested price less than $10 that is SCA related (camping/feasting). Ornament exchange, bring an ornament to hang on the tree and then take a new or different ornament home with you.
Table setting/decorations are encouraged and the best set table will also win a prize. The color theme this year is Plaid in honor of our wonderful Baron. Wear your best or make your best and bring it forth.
Site: Apostles Lutheran Church, 7020 W. Cactus Rd., Peoria, AZ 85381-5318, site opens at 2 pm and closes at 9 pm. This is a dry site and no pets are allowed. Smoking is allowed on the street.
Fees: $7.00 for members 17 and older, $12.00 for non-members 17 and older. Youth are free.
