LARPing has become increasingly popular as gamers - both table top and electronic - strive to carry out fantasy battles in 3D. Amtgard, "a live-action fantasy roleplaying and boffer combat game," ofers such an opportunity. "'It's a little more interactive than sitting around rolling dice,' observed Flynn Leek, a 37-year-old hotel employee who joins about 20 adults – mostly students – for a live action role-playing game at UC Davis."
