[WES] West Kingdom Equestrian Championship

To the populace of the west, the time has come for us to gather once again and take part on the equestrian arts on September 25, 2010 in Lodi Ca. It will be a day full of pageantry, games, and classes for everyone. There will also be the second annual West Kingdom Equestrian Championship.

Classes will begin at 10:00 AM

The classes are:
Horses In the SCA – Taught by Helga
Jousting and Mounted Combat – Taught by Siobhan
Round Penning – Taught by Arianwen
Lunch will be from 12:00 to 1:00

The Competition is to begin after lunch. This will be a competition of on prowess, franchise, and
presentation.

From there the first part of this competition each contestant will introduce themselves to the royalty, judges, and the gallery, from their final salute each rider will be given 90 seconds where they may present their skills on horse. Riders many do whatever they please here. There will be a salute for the start and the judges will signal at the end of the 90 seconds. If you times is up before the end it is up. Also if you want to ride in a group this is allowed, however you will be docked for your partners mistakes, you ride as a unit and you will be scored as a unit.

The second part will consist of a pre-decided pattern. These patterns are the SAME as last years. They are posted in the files section on the Equestrian List.

The last part will be challenge course, there will be some changes in the challenges in it. So prepare for anything to show up. I will post some more on this later, and am happy to answer all questions.

Finals will be determined closer to the competition, and is most likely to be similar to last years.
After the competition is complete the arenas will be open to games, riders are encouraged to come back out and play. Come laugh and play and play around.

Space is limited at this site but there will be some shade available. Please remember to bring water, it is likely to get warm and staying hydrated is important! There is no large lunch planned.
