Barony Lends Helping Hand at Homeless Shelter

Roaring Wastes: Iasmin de Cordoba, Baroness Roaring Wastes of the Middle Kingdom, announced that volunteers from the barony would help prepare meals at a homeless shelter. Hungry citizens in the Detroit area may have found themselves eating lunches prepared by "noble" lords and ladies when they visited the Cana Lutheran Homeless Shelter recently. Members of the Barony of Roaring Wastes helped to assemble bagged lunches for those staying at the shelter.

The lunches, consisting of sandwiches, fruit, juice and cookies, were available to take along when people left in the morning, thus providing them with a noontime meal for the day. This was the second year that Roaring Wastes has participated in the program to help with the shelter.
