[ANS] War of Ages

The Shire of Ffynnon Gath bring you an even like no other: War of Ages, October 22-24, 2010.

Endless opportunities abound for your enjoyment! From the most unique heavy weapons melee scenarios, to fast paced rapier duels in the streets of Nottingham and various other competitions to test your skills and wit.

And in grand fashion, as only Ffynnon Gath can bring you, a feast that will mesmerize and dazzle you!

The lands of Nottingham, and the Sherwood Forest Faire, set the stage for what is sure to be an amazing event! Make sure to follow the SCA signs to the entrance gate.

Here are a few rules to keep in mind when making plans to attend War of Ages:

Camping: If you are setting up a tent you will be camping within the perimeters of the Sherwood Forest Faire. It is extremely important that you set up your tent in designated areas only. There are two sections for camping; one for modern tents and one for period tents. Modern tents will not be allowed in the period camping section. However, if you have a period tent and wish to set up next to your friends with a modern tent you may do so. Locations will be marked on the map handed out at the gate. In addition, camping sections will be marked off with colored perimeter tape. Sorry, but we can not reserve space for your group this year. Camping will be on a first come, first served basis.

Camp in designated areas only! We emphasize this because the owners and management of Sherwood Forest Faire are working very hard to seed the grounds. There will be certain parts of the site that are off limits for camping.

There are limited sites for trailers, but no hookups. If you want to bring a trailer for camping please contact us for space.

Ground Fires: Ground fires are not permitted without a fire pit. Tiki torches are permitted. Please make sure to take normal precautions; i.e., never leave a fire unattended and have a fire extinguisher in camp. Security may come through and double check that your camp is following these guidelines. Failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave site.

Pets: Pets are not permitted on site. Service animals are allowed but you must provide the appropriate documentation when you arrive and check in.

Equestrian: Horses are permitted on site. While there are no organized equestrian activities on the schedule this year we encourage those in the equestrian community who want to bring horses and set up games and such to do so. There are equestrian facilities on site, along with a jousting/game field. Please contact our Equestrian Marshal in Charge, Lady Calena.

Showers & Restroom: There will be one set of showers on site. There will be several port-a-johns on site and these locations will be clearly marked on the map handed out at gate.

Other Site Information: The site is wet-use period containers only. Parking in your camp will not be permitted. Please move your car to the designated parking lot as soon as you're unpacked. This will be strictly enforced.

Fees: Site is $10.00 and Feast Fee is $10.00, family cap $35. Make check payable to:
SCA Inc./Shire of Ffynnon Gath. $5 NMS fee will apply where appropriate.

Site opens 5PM on Friday 10/22 and closes at noon on Sunday 10/24.
