As has now become the tradition, it is time to pick a new lord and lady of love. The couple need not be a married pair, and the lord and lady of love will be chosen individually.
The lord and lady of love must display all of the courtly graces. There will be people to judge, randomly selected and unknown to any of the participants. The general populace will be able to select their favorite by the old fashion form of bribery- each Contestant will get a fixed amount of coin to bribe the populace with. There may also be a brief treasure hunt for each contestant to do.
Please, help us decorate the hall by bringing banners to pin on the wallsand table decorations. We will also be hosting a silent auction at thisevent to earn funds for the Baron/Baroness dinner that our grand Barony is hosting at this year's Estrella War. To this extent, donations will be taken through fighter practice on September 8th.
Then by mid-afternoon, hungry as everyone will be, we can enjoy the feast. This year's feast will have the Barony providing the main dish, water, tea and lemonade. The populace is asked to provide sides, potluck style. The catch is that we are asking you, the populace, to incorporate some sort of heraldry into your dish for the subtlety competition. Let that creativity flow and show us what you and your food are made of. Participation in the subtlety competition is not required, but we are asking that you bring a side large enough to feed 8-10 people. Feast questions should be directed to Lady Kirsten at email@example.com.
This year's Baronial Anniversary will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall, located at 2314 E Apache Blvd, Tempe, AZ 85281. The easiest method of getting to the site is taking your best route to the 101 and Broadway. From there head North on Price Road, which is the frontage of the 101, to a righ on McArthur. The site is then on the right side of the road. This is easier than finding the small entrance that Google directs you to off of Apache Blvd. There is a Light Rail stop conveniently located in front of the hall and the hall is on the North side of the tracks.
This is a WET site and Arizona Bar laws apply. All liqueur must be purchased from the bar on site. Site opens at 10 am and closes at 5pm.
