Pennsic XXXIX Woods Battle video online

Mark Piszczor, a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center, has created a shot video shot during the Pennsic XXXIX Woods Battle as research footage for a student project called Ethereal. The footage is available on YouTube.

PENNSIC XXXIX Woods Battle From Shield Camera

Students from the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University take research footage during a Woods Battle at PENNSIC 39 (XXXIX). The research is for a student project titled Ethereal. Project Ethereal proposes to create a realistic medieval combat simulator. After
training with Aethelmearc's Barony-Marche of Debatable Lands & revered household Northern Cross, students participated at PENNSIC XXXIX to document the experience of medieval combat.

The student project team consists of computer programmers and artists from the Entertainment Technology Center.

The footage was shot with a shield camera.
