A large 2,200 year old gold coin has been found in Israel. The coin was issued by Ptolemy Vin 191 BCE and was minted in Egypt.
The coin was found in a stone wall in a Hellenestic administrative building. It is only the second Ptolemaic coin found in Israel. [photo]
