"Headcoverings from the Dublin Excavations" Now in Print

The Royal Irish Academy has announced that "Headcoverings from the Dublin Excavations," a book by Elizabeth Wincott that covers Irish headcoverings from the 9th-12th centuries, is now in print. A new book by Elizabeth Wincott, Headcoverings from the Dublin Excavations, looks at Irish clothing, including a "silk sprang fillet" which was found during the original dig. Researchers believe that artifacts found in the excavations date to between the 9th and 12th centuries, based on the dates of coins discovered at the site.
