Latin Makes a Comeback in American Schools

Delaware News Journal: The push for higher test scores has generated new interest in the study and teaching of Latin in America's classrooms. New studies show that Harry Potter and a desire for higher achievement test scores have spurred educators to take another look at the teaching of Latin in America's schools. In an article in the Delaware News Journal, reporter Melissa Tyrrell looks at new studies which prove that students who took Latin scored higher on SAT tests than those who took Spanish. She also looks at how local schools are handling the renewed interest in the subject.
