Scottish Music Teacher Recreates Ancient Horn

John Kenny, a Scottish musicologist, is helping to recreate an ancient silver trumpet used in the Middle East. Musicologist John Kenny is trying to do his part to bring harmony to the Middle East. The researcher was part of a team that earlier recreated a carnyx, a 2,000-year-old horn used by the Scottish Picts in battle against Roman invaders. Now the musicologist is part of a team, including Israeli and Palestian historians, who want to recreate an ancient silver trumpet in the shape of a ram's horn mentioned in the Old Testament. Kenny not only recreates ancient instruments but plays them and has several CD recording of his achievements.
