World's oldest leather shoe found

Archaeologists have found a leather show dating back 5,500 years in a cave in Armenia. The shoe is cut from one piece of cow leather and sewn together with eyelets.

There is evidence the leather may have been molded as well. Other artifacts found in the cave include textiles, pottery, and skulls.

This shoe is the second oldest known shoe, the oldest being a pair of fiber sandals from Missouiri, USA. [photo]
