An Iranian scholar has discovered 205 previously unknown quatrains of the 12th century Sufi poet Sanai Ghaznavi.
Seyyed-Ali Mirafzali was compiling a new volume of the poet's work based on original manuscripts, and when he was done he had more verses than he expected to. He believes his new publication will be the most complete volume of the poet's work to date.
Sanai is known for writting sonnets and rhymed couplets to express different aspects of Sufism. Hi best known work is titled The Walled Garden of Truth.
