More Bridegrooms Opting for Kilts

Star Telegram: Scottish formal wear is becoming more and more popular for weddings, according to New York Times News Service reporter Linda Lee. Colleen Kenrick runs Kilt Rental, a Colorado Springs company that rents as many as 1,000 wedding kilts each year. According to Ms. Kenrick, the trend is becoming even more popular. Some grooms think the kilts are a lot more comfortable than traditional tuxedos, especially for outdoor weddings.

Dr. Joshua A. Filner, a doctor from Portland, Oregon who wore a kilt for his recent wedding, commented, "It's not like they were in the Society for Creative Anachronism or anything. They just thought it would be fun."
