[CAI] Gyldenholt Anniversary

Please join our Barony on June 12th, 2010 as we celebrate Gyldenholt's 30th Anniversary. The day will be filled with fighting and games and the evening filled with great food.

Their Excellencies, Ursul and Colette, will choose Their Champions for heavy weapons, rapier, archery, unarmored, and youth combat so the tourney field will be very busy! There will also be a competition to determine Their Excellencies' Arts and Sciences Champion so come prepared with your A&S entries. After a busy day on the tournament field, we will continue our celebration over a feast prepared by Master Guiseppe Francecso da Borgia. Just a friendly reminder that feast reservations for Gyldenholt Anniversary are filling up fast! If you haven't made your reservations yet, please contact m'lady Sidony at nahbed@yahoo.com.

A&S COMPETITION INFORMATION
Each contestant must have their entries checked in by the close of lists. There will be display tables set up, and someone to check in all entries.

Each Contestant has the choice of entering one to three pieces of their work. This option will really give the artisans a chance to show off the breadth of their work! The total number of pieces entered by each contestant counts as one entry, and each contestant is eligible for only one prize.

Documentation for all pieces is strongly encouraged.
Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place; with the 1st place winner being declared the A&S Champion for Gyldenholt. Fabulous prizes are being furnished by House Corvus. Thanks, House Corvus!

The contest is to be judged by Baroness Collette, and a special guest, whom is very dear to the heart of Gyldenholt.

Questions about the A&S Competition can be directed to Alys de Montcharmont at: a alyssadyane@yahoo.com.

A&S COMPETITION PRIZE INFORMATION
Each month in 2010, House Corvus will be sponsoring an A&S prize at one or more SCA events, mostly in Atlantia, but with a few in other kingdoms which have House Corvus members in residence. They are calling this year-long sponsorship House Corvus:

DECAMERON.
Gyldenholt is honored that House Corvus has selected Gyldenholt Anniversary as one of the events for the Decameron prize. The first, second, and third place winners for the Gyldenholt Anniversary A&S competition will be awarded a Decameron Purse.

In addition, at Atlantian Twelfth Night in January 2011, an overall Grand Prize weighted drawing will take place of all of 2010's Decameron winners. For each First Place win, three (3) chances will be entered in that person's name in the drawing. For each Second Place win, two (2) chances will be entered in that person's name in the drawing. For each Third Place win, one (1) chance will be entered in that person's name in the drawing. The Grand Prize will be something *quite* special.

The tournament will be held at Mile Square Regional Park's Acrchery Range, located at 16801 Euclid, Fountain Valley, CA 92708. From the 405 Freeway, exit Euclid and go north. The park is located approximately 1.5 miles north of the freeway. The Archery Range is located on the Euclid side of the park, approximately half way between Edinger and Warner. There is a park entry fee of $5 so carpooling is encouraged. There is also street parking along Euclid that will allow you to walk to the event site. Mile Square Park is a dry site. Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on leashes.

The evening's feast will be at Murdy Community Center, located at 7000 Norma Dr, Huntington Beach, CA 92647. Maps to Community Center will be provided at the tourney. Murdy Community Center is a wet site. Please contact Sidony of Gyldenholt (nahbed@yahoo.com) to make feast reservations. Space will be limited!
