Mummy of 16th century woman found in Korea

The mummified remains of a 16th century noble woman were found at a construction site in Osan (Gyeonggi Province), South Korea.

The woman, estimated to be from the Chosun Dynasty, is dressed in burial clothes and is well preserved. Other artifacts were also found near the burial. A banner covering the coffin suggests that she may be the wife of a military officer. [photo]
