CBS: "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," the first book of C.S. Lewis' Narnia
series, will soon begin production on location in New Zealand.
Following the success of the "Lord of the Rings" films, Peter Jackson's Weta
Workshop is bringing the Narnia series to the big screen. The first film,
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, will soon begin production in New
Zealand and will be directed by New Zealander Andrew Adamson, who directed
Shrek. Location shooting in New Zealand is set to begin in mid-2004 and will
take advantage of the South Island's natural beauty.
