Art Exhibit Celebrates Duccio di Buoninsegna

Herald Tribune: 13th century painter Duccio di Buoninsegna is the star of an exhibit celebrating the city of Sienna's golden age, "Duccio: At the Origins of Sienese Painting." Siennese painter Duccio di Buoninsegna may have been the city's brightest star. Now the city celebrates the man and his work in an exhibit entitled "Duccio: At the Origins of Sienese Painting." The exhibition will take place in various venues around the city until January 11, 2004, and will include a series of frescoes recently discovered beneath the Duomo.
