Steel, stamina - and some good duct tape!

Mithila Mangedarage staff reporter for the Minnesota State University, Mankato, Reporter recently learned about one of the university's most unusual student activities: the College of Rivenwood Tower.

The reporter visited a fighter practice at Myers Field House where she met Justin Kent, president of CRT, and Mike Prahll, who quickly brought her up to speed on SCA combat, armor and practices. In speaking of the armor, marshal Steve Kruger explained the minimum armor requirements: knee, elbow and groin guards and a 14-gauge helmet. "On top of all of that, you need some good Duct Tape," said Prahl while taping his armor.
