1,000 years of Byzantium's history at Bonn museum

More than "600 historically meaningful exhibits and important artefacts from collections and archaeological excavations" around the world will highlight Byzantium -Splendour and Everyday Life, an exhibit at the Federal Art and Exhibition Hall in Bonn, Germany. (photo)

The exhibit is designed to showcase the arts and achievement of the Byzantine Empire including "ivories, spectacular icons and manuscripts, architectural fragments, sculptures and everyday objects" presented in their original contexts.

The exhibit will run until June 13, 2010.
