Shroud of Turin expected to draw crowds from around the world

Whether it is real or an inspired hoax, the Shroud of Turin is one of the most recognized holy relics in the world. Its upcoming display is expected to draw over two million visitors to Turin Cathedral.

The Shroud, which will be revealed to the public for only the sixth time in 100 years, will be on display in its bulletproof, climate-controlled case from 10 April to 23 May, 2010, and is expected to draw the faithful and the curious from around the world. Pope Benedict XVI is expected to visit the shroud in early May.
