Ancient Greek Verses Found in Vatican Manuscript

As many as 200 previously unknown verses attributed to the Greek playwright Menander have been re-discovered in a manuscript in the Vatican Library. A manuscript dating from the 9th century may contain as many as 200 lost verses by the Greek playwright Menander. The prolific 3rd century BCE writer is considered the father of the modern sitcom. Fragments of his work have surfaced over the past century, but these new verses will add substantially to his body of work. The latests find involves an old woman, a newborn child, and a girl, according to Vatican experts.
