"Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson now says that he would like to
follow his successful trilogy by filming "The Hobbit," Tolkien's prequel, with
some of the same cast.
Viewers in despair that the last part of the
Lord of the Rings trilogy will
soon be released, thus ending the series, may find new hope. Director Peter
Jackson says he would like to film the prequel,
The Hobbit, using some of the
same cast members. Complex copyright issues might hold up filming of the
popular fantasy, but Jackson says he is definitely interested.
The filming of the Lord of the Rings trilogy took seven years, and an
exhausted director could certainly be expected to rest on his laurels. This is
not the case, however, since he will soon begin working on his newest project,
King Kong.
