The Barony of Windhaven proudly presents Bardic Madness XX: Back Where it All Began Saturday, February 27, 2010
DePere Community Center, 600 Grant St., DePere, WI 54115
Site opens at 8am and closes at 9pm.
Site is handicapped accessible, discreetly damp. No smoking inside the building.
Windhaven hosted Bardic Madness I. We also hosted Bardic Madness X. It seems only right that the 20th Bardic Madness be hosted by Windhaven!
We offer greetings and welcome to all bards, troubadours, trouveres, musicians, minstrels, minnesingers, jongleurs, singers, storytellers, poets, skops, skalds, fillidhs, olaves, griots, wordsmiths, and friends of the bardic and performing arts!
Intriguing challenges on the theme of circles, cycles, returning, roundness, remembrance, and coming home will be open to all who wish to try their hand, interspersed with classes relating to the bardic/performing arts, music, history, and literature. Windhaven's famous cooks will provide their trademark delicious snacks and a sumptuous feast. Come to perform, or just to applaud friends and enjoy Northshield's talent and creativity.

There will be two class periods of one hour each, and the Provost would like to schedule 3-4 classes in each period. We would love to have you come teach a class! Topics we're looking for include: Writing techniques, literature, performance techniques, historical and SCA bardic topics, history, persona studies, instrumental or vocal music, drama or any performing arts, and more. If you're not sure your topic would work, ask!
If you would like to teach a class, contact the Provost at firstname.lastname@example.org to get on the list of teachers. The official questionnaire for teachers will be e-mailed to those who have contacted Eliane by two weeks before the event, to request details and preferences.
Click here for the challenge list. Patrons will be listed after each challenge as they are signed up.
Would you like to be a patron for a challenge? It's sort of like a combination emcee and ring-giver! It isn't difficult, and your generosity will allow everyone who participates to be recognized for their performance. Contact the Assistant Provost, Mistress Eithni, at email@example.com to request to be a patron. First-come, first-served!
Pre- and post-revels
The breakfast room at the Sleep Inn (see Lodging for more information) has been reserved as a hospitality room for Friday night, and as a bardic post-revel space for Saturday night. Please join us as you are able--you don't have to be staying at the Sleep Inn to stop in!
