Pomegranate part of healthy Roman diet in England

Among the healthy foods in the Roman diet was the pomegranate, depicted in numerous Roman-era mosaics found in Britain. The earliest seems to a mosaic floor discovered in Hinton St Mary, which features the head of a man and two pomegranates. The floor dates to the 4th century.
