Crofter finds Norse anchor on Skye

A Scottish crofter working on a drain on the Isle of Skye was "stunned" to discover an anchor that is believed to date to Viking times. (photo)

Graeme Mackenzie,, whose lives near Sleat on Skye, said, "I stumbled on it quite by chance, I wasn't looking for anything. I just wanted to drain the land so I can grow potatoes there next year."
