[ATL] Ymir XXXV

Their Excellencies Girard and Guenievre and the Barony of Windmasters' Hill invite you to join us the weekend of February 12-14, 2010 for Ymir XXXV at the Betsy Jeff Penn 4H Center in Reidsville, NC. We hope you will mark your calendar and plan on being a part of our Barony's Annual Celebration of the Great Frost Giant!

Online registration for Ymir XXV is now available. We invite you to visit the event website where you will find pricing and registration information including a link to the online ACCEPS registration system.

For those who choose to stay offsite, we have arranged a group rate at two local hotels. Please note that all reservations must be made by January 12, 2010 to receive the discounted rate and must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance to get a full refund. All hotel contact information is available on the event website.

Site: Betsy-Jeff Penn 4H Center, 804 Cedar Lane, Reidsville, NC 27320.

Site Restrictions: Pets permitted only on a leash. Fires allowed in only designated areas (pre-existing fire pits). Swim in the lake at your own risk; no lifeguard is on duty. Alcohol is permitted for those over the age of 21. No original containers. Take your empties and trash home with you. Parking directly by the cabins is prohibited.

Cell Phone Reception: Cell phone service in this area is spotty and may be unavailable under certain service providers. (To help maintain the ambiance at the event for everyone, we ask that everyone keep their cell phone on vibrate or turn it off while on site for the duration of the event.)

Cabins: There are 8 heated cabins each with 24 beds with electricity and shower facilities available for those choosing to sleep onsite.

Feast
A feast for 100 persons shall be prepared by our Head Cook Lady Maria Beatriz la Mora. Please contact her at hippy_dippy_dancer@yahoo.com with any dietary concerns.

Armoured & Rapier Combat
Baron James of Middle Aston (mka James Wagner) will serve as Marshal-in-Charge for the day.

Armoured Combat
Syr Otto von Schwartzkatz plans to run a traditional double elimination tournament for the armoured combatants. Rapir Combat Vicar Ceridwen ferch Owain (lgoldman05@yahoo.com) will be marshaling the rapier tournament. Rapier fighting will be a Multi-list round robin as has been the recent tradition for Ymir. We will take the top 2 from each list and do a single-elim bracket. Bring your armor, bring your blades, bring your best to the field!

Please be prepared to let her know what you are selling, your tent size (including ropes), whether your tent is modern or period, and whether you will be arriving on Friday or Saturday. A list of attending merchants will be posted.
