Novae Militiae is a living history group based in Georgia (USA) which portrays the years 1189-1216 CE in an English military setting. As a living history group, Novae Militiae's aim is to present an accurate impression of their chosen time period in order to educate the public. However, they do not reenact a specific event from history, nor are specific individuals portrayed. They are a performance group, having no fixed rankings. You may be a low born sergeant one day and a noble knight the next, if you have the correct equipment. Their goal is to accurately present what was common to the life of knights and those who fought with them, using the reigns of Richard I and John of England as the focal point.
