When Good Tapestries Go Bad

SomethingAwful.com: It's just....wrong. A news parody site has collected some truly warped creations from the do-it-yourself Bayeux Tapestry web site. A few weeks ago, SCAtoday.net featured an article (http://scatoday.net/story.php?search_id=N-20031012-145639-0005) about a web site that allows visitors to create their own artwork in the style of the famous Bayeux Tapestry.

The parody web site, Something Awful, challenged its readers to create the funniest tapestries they could, and they have published the results. The efforts of Something Awful's readers range from the crudest of scatological humor to some truly subtle puns and satire, including a full comic-strip-like rendering of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Other victims of these artists' satirical pen (mouse?) include ancient computer games and current Hollywood movies. The "forsooth" language is abysmally inaccurate, but suspend your sense of authenticity and just enjoy the laughter.

WARNING: Some of the cartoons contain vulgar language, sexual innuendo, and other material that may be objectionable to some readers. Consider this link to be "R rated", not suitable for young children.
