[AET] Hallowtide IV

Greetings unto the populace of Aethelmearc. The Shire of Blackwater once again invites you to find time to come celebrate with us our Hallowtide on November 14th 2009 A.S. 44. Please note the date change.

Our past events have been filled with fellowship as the weather turns colder and our thoughts turn from outside tournaments to indoor activities and events. To that end we invite the populace of Aethelmearc to come and relax with us. Bring your armor as there will be some interesting indoor fighting in an indoor gym. Fencing will be available once again pending finding an available marshal. Youth fighting will also be available pending youth to fight. There is ample space for projects if you'd care to come and share your latest works with those in attendance. In the past this has been a feature of our events with a few folks working on projects and talking about what they are doing to the un-initiated. There will be a few classes that have been hits in the past as well. The Pumpkin carving contest of course as always is a hit! Did you goof up your mundane gourd or did the kids bust yours? Come carve one for us! There will also be a silent auction with the funds raised to provide for the Shire. Donations graciously accepted and Bidders gratefully needed! We will also be having an A&S display with a populace vote. There will be several A&S classes available as well. Further announcements on those will be announced later.

There will be a delicious feast inspired by Les Tres Riches Hueres Jean duc de Berry presented by Lidia Allen with assistance by Etain inghen Cormac. Please contact Lidia Linda_a_larson@yahoo.com with any dietary concerns or requests. There will be a kids meal available of French Toast and applesauce for feast at $2. A sideboard lunch will be provided by Lady Nivah Catherine Rose of Bannockburn and the youth of the shire as part of the site fee. To top it off a wonderful desert will be available as well from Lady Deirdre Scot of Clan Scot.

This will be held at Trinity United Methodist church at 131 North 9th Street in Olean, NY 14760. The site will open at 9 am and will close at 9 pm. This of course is a Dry Site.

Event fee will be $8 per adult of 18 years of age. Those from 6 to 17 will be charged $4 and those 5 and under will be free. The $3 non member surcharge will be collected at Troll as well so please remember to bring acceptable proof of membership. Cost of the feast will be $7 for adults, from 10 years old up, under 10 eats for free.

Reservations may be sent to: Duchess Anna Blackleaf. Paid reservations are the best as we can not recognize unpaid requests. Please make your payment payable to: SCA Inc. Shire of Blackwater.

The Event Steward for this event is Lord Valentine Lymem Any Questions or concerns can be addressed to wchasr@yahoo.com
