[ANS] Ursae-Lyons III

In early Autumn, as the harvests are being brought in, the Barony of Bjornsborg will host Ursae-Lyons III, the annual epic struggle between the fields of the Bear and Lion. This year during combat I and the other Lions will be watching, looking for those who most closely exemplify the ideals of the Defenders of the Dream.

When: October 16-18, 2009
Gate opens Friday the 16th at 5pm and closes Sunday the 18th at noon

Located on the beautiful Medina River, 16 miles from the downtown River Walk, on the southern city limits of the Alamo City. Over 3/4 of a mile of river frontage to fish, hike or just enjoy the quiet beauty of this historic ranch. Come and enjoy San Antonio's Other River Walk.

From San Antonio take I-35 S toward Laredo. Take EXIT 141 toward VON ORMY /BENTON CITY RD go approx. 0.1 miles then turn slight LEFT onto I-35 S. Go about 0.4 miles then turn RIGHT onto N. BENTON CITY RD. Drive 0.1 miles, cross railroad tracks, BENTON CITY RD becomes (slight left) QUINTANA RD. Go about 0.3 miles Then turn RIGHT onto TRAWALTER LANE. The site will be on your right in about a mile. Watch for SCA signs, if you pass the driving range, you passed the site.
