15th century Scottish palace excavated

Experts from Murray Archeological Services are overseeing excavation of the site of a 15th century palace, occupied by Bishop Carnock, near Brechin Cathedral in Scotland. STV has the story. (video)

The archaeologists, aided by volunteers, so far have found medieval pottery and 14th century coins. The project was funds by grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Brechin Townscape Heritage Initiative.
