Invergarry Castle gets a "Second Life"

Invergarry Castle in the Highlands of Scotland is a ruin. It was burned by Cromwell and later ransacked by English soldiers, but it now has a new virtual life in the online world of Second Life.

Two versions of the castle have been created by programmers: one as it looks today and another as it was in 1740. Visitors can "tour" both versions of the castle, which was recreated brick by brick. The project was the brainchild of the MyGlengarry.com Conservation Trust.
