Agincourt Coin Lost - and Found

A gold coin found on the battlefield of Agincourt, and once in the possession of the Birmingham Museum, has been found. British artist JMW Turner once painted a watercolor of both sides of a gold coin found on the battlefield of Agincourt. Then the coin was lost. Fortunately it has turned up again just in time for an exhibit of Turner's work at the Birmingham Museum, including a painting with an Agincourt theme which included a silk purse and the gold coin.

"How it got lost, I have no idea," said James Hamilton, curator at Birmingham.
