1,000-Year-Old Woman Discovered in China

China View: A well-preserved, female corpse, believed to be from the Song Dynasty, has been discovered near Najing, China. Archaeologists were surprised recently by the quality of preservation of a woman's body believed to be 1,000 years old. The corpse, discovered in Gaochun County near Nanjing, still has flexible joints and skin and the hair is still in good condition. The grave where the body was found is from the Song Dynasty (960-1279). The body has been sent to the Shanghai Science Museum for further study.
