Volunteers find Roman artifacts on first day of dig

An archaeological dig in Lincolnshire, England, which teams professional and volunteers, has led to satisfying results on its first day. Among items found: "Roman coins, flints and walls."

"I thought it sounded very interesting and I'm glad to be involved; within the first few hours I had my hands on two Roman coins thousands of years old that haven't been touched by other people since the area was abandoned," said Carrotte, a retiree from Horncastle.
