A German couple, who discovered the now famous mummified body of Oetzi, is
still waiting to collect their reward.
It has been several years since Helmut and Erika Simon, a retired couple from
Nuremburg, Germany, discovered the mummified remains of a Stone Age man while
hiking in the Italian Alps. Recently a court in Bolzano, Italy declared the
couple as the official finders, entitling them to a quarter of the proceeds
from Oetzi's promotion. The iceman has become a tourist attraction in a Bolzano
museum and the couple would like to have their share. The museum plans to
appeal.
