In Atenveldt, Their Majesties and the Kingdom Seneschal have announced that the formerly-inactive Shire of Burning Sands has been reactivated. At the November 2, 2003 King's and Queen's Champion Tourney, TRM Jonathon and Deille, King and Queen of Atenveldt, and Duchess Katerina O'Callaghan, Atenveldt Kingdom Seneschal, announced that the Shire of Burning Sands has been returned to Active status as an SCA group. This status change follows three months of hard work by a group of SCA members in the Yuma area -- some new to the SCA, some new to Atenveldt (from elsewhere in the SCA), and some Burning Sands residents who have returned to play once again.

We would ask that everyone welcome the Shire back to our Current Middle Ages, and assist them as they continue their work to keep the SCA alive and well in a far corner of our Kingdom. Well met, Burning Sands, and welcome home!
