ABC may be taking a risk by broadcasting the program, but the popularity of the novel by Dan Brown cannot be disputed. It has been on bestseller lists for months. The book deals with a secret society, akin to the Knights Templar, which protects artifacts from the family of Jesus, and suggests that Da Vinci was part of the society, leaving a hint in his famous painting "The Last Supper."
