The jousters and the falconers are great draws at the annual event, but so too are members of the SCA who create a medieval village. Kirgan writes: "The medieval re-enactors are members of the Society for Creative Anachronism, an organization that researches and recreates pre-17th century European history. 'They have been very gracious to us since our first year by coming and doing demonstrations,' said spokesperson Michele Hale." The church hoped to raise about US$10,000 for charity.
