Pub evacuated due to Holy Grenade of Antioch

The bomb squad was recently called to a pub in Shoreditch, east London when workers from the water company discovered a suspicious object. Such an evacuation is not an unusual occurrence in today's terrorist-conscious world, but these workers must not have been fans of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

What set off the alert? Under a fire hydrant, the workers discovered a replica of Monty Python's Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. To be safe, the police evacuated the pub and cordoned off the street. "It all lasted about 45 minutes before they decided it was nothing -- which I thought was pretty obvious from the start. I lost a good hour's worth of business," said pub owner Alberto Romanelli.
