The Frazier Historical Arms Museum is set to open May 22, 2004 in Louisville, Kentucky (USA).
The Frazier is collaborating with the Royal Armouries in Great Britain to offer
one of the world's largest collections of arms and armor. The new museum will
open its doors in May of 2004 with items dating back 1000 years. While much of
the collection will relate to American history, the museum will also display
arms owned by Henry VIII and Elizabeth I as well as artifacts from earlier
times. The third floor will be of particular interest since it will contain
rotating exhibits dating back to the 11th century.
A feature of the Frazier Museum will be its interactive displays, including
costumed interpreters, audiovisual presentations, and a tournament ring where
live demonstrations of arms and armor can take place.
