[EAS] All Things Scribal

Scribal hands are not idle hands, they always seek perfection in the minute, in the delicate aspects of their craft, and in historic perception of their art. For knowledge they seek boundless historical references, for experience they seek each other's council.

On March 14th, 2009, the Barony of Bergental will provide the space and facilities for fellow scribes to teach, practice, learn, and display their craft. This quiet event is the perfect opportunity for scribes to ask or answer questions for each other. There will be no marshal activities, no youth activities, and no other Arts and Sciences venues provided, just plenty of chairs, tables, meeting rooms, and all things scribal!

Classes will be organized by Mistress Nataliia Anastasiia Evgenova (Nataliia@cox.net). If you would like to teach, please contact her with your needs. All teachers must be pre-registered by February 21st. This will provide enough time to get a class schedule out for students to reserve as well.

There will also be no feast provided. Bergental would, however, like to invite our guests to join in a potluck day board. If you would like to contribute, please contact Lady Emma MacMinn (nanon58@yahoo.com).

Directions:
From I-91 or Mass Turnpike-90 go to I-291 in Springfield. Once on 291 you go to the East Springfield Exit.

From the I-91 to I-291 direction, take exit 5B. The street off the exit goes only one direction... so go that way. At the light take a left onto Rosevelt Ave.

From off the Mass Turnpike onto I-291 take Exit 5. At the light off the ramp turn right onto Page Blvd. and then left onto Roosevelt.

Once on Roosevelt:
This road will lead you directly there with no turns (about 3 mi., but don't quote me). After crossing Willbraham Road, you will come to a traffic light at the bottom of a steep little hill. Go through the light and over a nice little stone bridge. You will see the lovely brick church on your left sitting on a little hill. Rooselvelt nows bends off to the left, STAY RIGHT and turn onto Overlook St. just after the church. Park on the lower section of the lot.
