South Asian Arms & Armor on Display at the Higgins

"The Passage to India: The Arms and Armor of South Asia" will be on display at The Higgins Armory Museum, in Worcester, Massachusetts, from October 23, 2003, to June 20, 2004. The exhibit, focusing largely on the 17th-19th centuries, includes many pieces of the Higgins collections that have never before been on display.

"This exhibition offers a glimpse at a region that has been a magnet for global attention for millennia," said exhibition co-curator Jeffrey L. Forgeng, "attracting traders and invaders, the ambitious, the faithful and the curious, to a region whose traditions run deep."
