SCA members make an impression on Bangalore reporter

Arun Bhatia of Bangalore "saw something weird" on a visit to Virginia. What he encountered was an activity by the local SCA group complete with armored combat. Bhatia's story appears in the Deccan Herald.

He writes:

Then the fight started- a pitched battle of half a dozen on one side attacking half a dozen others, but there were also one on one battles. The knights had a go at each other using their swords made from soft wood. There was no cheating among the "lords". If one was clearly hit, he was "honourable" enough to "fall down dead." The rules made things clear: fell your "enemy" but don't hurt him. Weapons used made clang bang noises but were blunted on the ends with foam and tape.
